Podravka’s acquisition of Ital-ice from Poreč, well known for its ice-cream, is becoming more and more famous for the manufacturing of frozen cakes and bakery products. This summer, croissants are a big hit, and demand for this product already exceeds manufacturing capacities. Daily, 15,800 to 16,000 thirty-five-gram pieces of croissants leave the plant, mainly for the purposes of hotels in Poreč and its surroundings, and in Rijeka. This is record production in the four-year tradition of the preparation of this delicacy. In order to meet growing demand, overtime work has been introduced. Due to strict quality standards, no stocks are created, so that daily quantities are instantly delivered to the market.
