Lentil stew

Considering that 100 grams of lentils contain 48 percent protein and 46 percent fibre of the total recommended daily amounts, this legume should be a must in our weekly menu. To start, try out this lentil stew, a simple dish with bay leaf and pancetta that will make your kitchen smell fantastic.

Lentil stew

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Fant seasoning mix for beans
  • 20 g butter
  • 40 g Podravka pancetta
  • 50 g carrots
  • 200 g potatoes
  • 1 leaf Vegeta Maestro Bay leaf
  • ¼ teaspoon Vegeta Maestro marjoram
  • 300 g Podravka Green lentils

Preparation

  1. Cook soaked lentils. Mix contents of Fant packet with 100 ml warm water and let stand a few minutes.
  2. Fry sliced pancetta in butter. Add carrots and potatoes cut into cubes, bay leaf, marjoram, and 1 litre water.
  3. Add in prepared Fant mix and cooked lentils, and cook together for about 10 minutes.

Serving: Serve warm.

Advice: For faster preparation time, use tinned Podravka lentils.
