From 26 to 27 November 2001, Det Norske Veritas completed the certification audit of Podravka’s quality management system and issued a certificate confirming that all the requests of ISO 9001: 2000 have been met. The areas covered by this Certificate are business processes which include the development, production, sales and distribution of products in the range of food seasonings – with the VEGETA trademark.
The certificate will be handed over at a ceremony on 4 December 2001 in Koprivnica. On this occasion, a framework agreement for the partnership between Podravka and Det Norske Veritas will be signed, which will mark the beginning of new long-term co-operation in the field of systematic quality built on the foundations of mutually beneficial relations. With this Certificate Podravka joins the circle of companies that look for business success by respecting the wishes and expectations of their clients, and by exceeding expectations in line with their strategic commitments.
In the coming year an innovative model of quality management will be implemented in all the business processes of Podravka’s food production activities. This model will be developed to meet the requirements of the environment management system (ISO 14001) and the demands of HACCP.
In this way, Podravka will ensure solid foundations for the development and implementation of the model of business excellence based on the criteria of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). Within three years, it is hoped to achieve its strategic goal – to compete for the European quality award.
